The 2008 Ningbo Tourism Festival is to be unveiled on Sept 27, the World Tourism Day. It will last for one month. There will be a main venue in the central urban area of Ningbo and 12 sub-venues in the counties and districts as well as in the Dongqian Lake Resort. The activities will be put on in three periods. The first period will begin from late September. It will mainly have an opening ceremony and the Yangtze Delta Tourism Summit Forum. And meanwhile, an ALA Tourism Carnival will be held. The second period will be the Golden Week of the National Day Holiday. The major activities will be some experience tours of local customs. The third period will be around the mid-October. There will be a Citizen Touring Day program and other programs organized by various social organizations.
